When we talk about to ice skating, most skaters are normally novices who are out to have fun whilst skating out on the ice. You will find that most novice skaters will wear most types of clothing as long as it’s warm and comfortable during their skating sessions. However, whenever it comes to expert or even competitive ice skating then particular kinds of roller skating Dresses tend to be worn depending on the event or even contest style.
Generally the more professional skater will have consulted with skating experts to ensure that the right type and style of outfit is chosen for a particular competition; as well as finding the best type of ice skating dresses to wear during their daily training sessions and practices.
How should you dress for professional / amateur Ice Skating Contests?
1) When it comes to your ice skating outfits; you must consult with a dressmaker before purchasing your competitions clothing. Your dressmaker may tailor-make, reduce, colour and textile for your own specs and tailor-make your gowns and outfits to best fit your needs with regard to both practice as well as competition.

High quality tights ensure that you always stay warm and they won’t tear if you slip or fall during a training session or routine.
3) Always have more than one or two training outfits. Preferably have four to five sets including Ice Skating Dresses and Quality legging. For male skaters ensure that you have substantial stocks of fitted tops and leggings to wear.
4) You must ensure that your competition blades have been re-sharpened prior to the event or competition. This will ensure that during the competition you reduce the amount of friction generated during your manoeuvres and also ensure that you move faster and with a lot more precision during your routine.
5) When you are not skating and off the ice you must cover your skating blades with either a cover or a blade guard, this will protect your blades. These are available from a number of sources and comes in various guises including plain design to extremely decorative ranges.

1) Don’t make the mistake of wearing bulky and thick clothing, you will overhead after a short period on the ice. The secret to staying warm is to wear thin layers of clothing, so as you skate you will gradually warm up even though it may feel a rather chilly when you first start off on the ice.
2) Ensure that your are wearing long trousers and long sleeves to cushion against any minor fails but also to ensure that your stay warm during your skate.
3) It’s always a good choice to also take a pair of gloves with you as you would if you went out during the winter months. This protects your hands when skating and stops the dreaded icy fingers.
4) Ensure that if you have long hair that you tie it back. You hair could get could up in some one skates if you fall or simply obstruct your view as you skate. You could also wear a hat which will also help to keep your head nice and cosy as well as help to keep your hair out of your face.

Alfred 00-25926 Dreaming on Ice – Music Book $7.87 Alfred Music Publishing is the world s largest educational music publisher. Alfred produces educational #44; reference #44; pop #44; and performance materials for teachers #44; students #44; professionals #44; and hobbyists spanning every musical instrument #44; style #44; and difficulty level. This beautiful and delicate waltz brings to mind the swirls on the ice left by the blades of an ice skater. With this image in mind #44; students should be able to execute the lyrical melody with finesse. The melody #44; written in cantabile style #44; is found throughout the piece in the right hand. The left hand accompaniment begins first with single notes #44; with the first note of each measure moving down one half step. Left hand harmonies are filled in as the piece progresses. Though written in C major #44; there are numerous accidentals throughout. The liberal use of ritardandos creates a rubato give and take to the piece #44; which aids in developing a romantic style of playing in teenage and adult students. |

Excerpt: Surya Bonaly (born December 15, 1973) is a French-American professional figure skater. Bonaly was born in Nice, France in 1973 and adopted by Suzanne Bonaly, a physical education teacher, and her husband Georges, an architect who worked for the government. Georges and Suzanne initially told the press their daughter had been born on the island of Réunion. When Surya approached the age of 18 and began researching her birth history, George and Suzanne admitted Surya was born to a mother who was from the island and that Surya had not been born on the island itself. Didier Gailhaguet, who was the first coach of her competitive career, admitted fabricating the story because he thought it favorable to the press.. It was said that Gailhaguet discovered Surya when she was 10 years old ice skating in a public skating session. Years later, however, Surya said she wanted to skate in Gailhaguet’s competitive skating group and actually asked to participate. Bonaly went on to become a nine-time French National Figure Skating Champion (19891997) and won the European Figure Skating Championships five times (19911995). She was a three-time silver medalist at the World Figure Skating Championships (19931995), but she never managed to win a world title, despite her strong jumping ability. Nor did she ever win a medal in the Winter Olympics, placing 5th in 1992 in Albertville, 4th in 1994 at Lillehammer, and 10th in 1998 at Nagano. Bonaly took the Athlete’s Oath at the 1992 Winter Olympics. Formerly a competitive gymnast, Bonaly is famous for her backflip landed on only one blade; she is considered the only skater in the world capable of this move. She is also known for having attempted a quadruple toe loop jump at the 1991 World Figure Skating Championships – th… More: |
